Thank you for visiting our new Internet site. We want to give you the opportunity to stay in touch with us and see how Morgan and Riley has grown over the years.
Our Mission:
Morgan has a very rare Congenital Corneal Disease in both of her eyes. She was diagnosed with what is called C.H.E.D. which stands for Congenital Hereditary Endothelial Dystrophy. As a result she has had cornea transplants in each eye. Morgan also has Congenital Glaucoma and Congenital Esotropia which she has had surgeries for in each eye. Morgan has had a total of nineteen surgeries which are accompanied with extensive Doctor visits from three different Doctors. She has done well with her surgeries to date and her visual acuity is high functioning at the 20/80 level. With continued intervention, we are hopeful of improvement in the future. Riley was born with a rare Congenital Heart Defect called Pulmonary Artesia Ventricular Septal. As a result she has had two open heart surgeries (one she went on the by-pass machine). She has had a “Mee” procedure, had an artificial conduit and an artificial Gore-Tex patch added to her aorta. She has also made four visits to the Cath Lab for surgeries adding stints and balloon work. Riley has also been diagnosed with DiGeorge Syndrome, Velocardiofacial Syndrome and an Apraxia which has made it hard for her to eat (she has a feeding tube) along with other developmental delays. She will continue to have open heart surgeries as she grows out of the artificial parts. So, we would like to thank all of you who have volunteered, donated, or participated to our daughters' well being. We hope everyone has a great time and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
